Adolescent Psychology

The time of being a “teen” can be tough!

It is a time of transition, moving from childhood to adulthood. During this time many teenagers can become confused with thoughts, feelings, and physical changes. It is often a time where a teenager struggles with his or her own identity, their group identity, independence, and social challenges.

Additionally, it is common for teenagers to be troubled with anxiety, symptoms of depression, self-esteem issues, eating and sleeping difficulties, bullying, social isolation, and of course communication issues with parents and others.

Our psychologists are trained and experienced in working with adolescents and their families to help make sense of things, and provide professional support such as coping strategies to improve the situation.
